Hi,

I just downloaded the lastest MyEclipse plugin version 5.1.1GA for RedHat Enterprise, this is Fedora 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 though.

I tried creating a connection to an existing remote mysql database using MyEclipse DB explorer. I can connect no problems from the command shell but after configuring the MySQL driver properties, I get the following error:

Error while trying to login to database:
Access denied for user ‘xxx’ @ ‘localhost’ (using password: YES)

First of all the remote machine I specified in the URL is not localhost and there is no single place where localhost is specified in the JDBC URL Secondly I have never run accross this kind of error message … a BUG?

Giovanni,
Can you send me a screenshot of your DB connection settings screen? (select the connection and hit Edit) so I can see how you have it setup?
