Hi. Is it possible to deactivate XML Validation for some folders or files? I want to merge xml files for xdoclet. As they are not xml conform (no root tag) they are marked as malformed. I know, that I can deactivate the validation for the whole project but that should not be the solution, should it? *g*

Yes, its brand new with 3.8.3. Right click on whatever resource (file or folder) that you want validation to stop processing, go to properties and check the “derived” value. This will inform MyEclipse that the resource and all resources under it are considered ‘derived’ which is a concept Eclipse created to mark partial or incomplete resources that are a by product of processing larger files (e.g. merge files for xdoclet, etc.).
