Do I need another version of Eclipse to plug it into perhaps?

    Jochen,

We apologize this issue affected you and thank you very much for reporting it.Did you install MyEclipse from Eclipse Galileo Using the following update site

    http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-latest

If not, I would recommend you to try with this update site.

If that also not works for you, then I would suggest you to install MyEclipse using pulse explorer.
Can you check if you have pulse explorer available?
    Look for ~\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe.
If not I would recommend you to download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.

    Steps to install using Pulse:

    1) open pulse-explorer and login anonymously. This will redirect you to the pulse explorer.
    2) From the dropdown select “Eclipse 3.5 – Galileo”.
    3) Select “Popular” under “Ready to use profiles”. On the right hand pane, you will notice MyEclipse 8. Latest.
    4) Right click on it and select “Add to My profile”.
    5) Now Expand “My Profiles”. This will list you all MyEclipse Profiles. Click on MyEclipse 8.x Latest. On the right hand pane, you will notice you have base, shared and personal software.
    6) Next, right click on MyEclipse 8.x Latest and from the context root, click on [install the Run]/[Reinstall and run].
Pulse will automatically resolve any dependency conflicts.

Let me know if this works for you.
