Liferay is one of the more popular open source portals available. I did not see a deployment option (using 7.0 M2) for this environment. Is there, or will there be a standard deployment (like websphere portal)? If not is there a way to manually configure so that I can deploy/debug, please share details. Alternatively, is another server (e.g. GlassFish) recommended for working with Liferay?

    Thanks

We don’t provide tooling explicitly for Liferay at this point. LifeRay support is on our radar but we dont have a timeline yet. We don’t explicitly support this configuration but I’ll check with the dev team that is always researching servers.

Thank you for your response. It would be good to know if the LifeRay Eclipse plugin would work within myeclipeseide or alternatively any configuration changes that I could make to ensure the portlet was deployed to the correct location for debugging.

I would like to add my vote for integrated LifeRay support.

I’ll make a note of this.
