Are there any MyEclipse facilities to help with deploying a java web app to a cloud base linux server running Tomcat6? (think ‘rackSpace’).

From the MyEclipse server deployment U/I I’ve seen, it appears that any deployable target has to exist on an accessible hard drive, right?

    davout,

If you can map the remote location to a local drive then MyEclipse should be able to help you get going. Otherwise we do recommend using MyEclipse for your local deployments during testing as most companies typically have a different export/deployment process when dealing with production servers.

    Hope this helps,

With the advent of cloud computing, may be its time for your product to extend the deployment model to include remote cloud based servers

We already have MyEclipse G for Google App engine deployments (http://myeclipseg.com) but will certainly be taking a look at how we can adapt or enhance tools in regular MyEclipse to assist with cloud based applications.
