I have an app that uses an image that when pressed dials a phone number. When the app is published as a web app and called from another native app, the phone number no longer works when the image is touched. Any ideas why please?

I brought up the issue of the ‘dial phone’ function on web apps not working on iOS 7 some weeks ago. The ‘back’ function is also affected in 7. They both work fine in iOS 6.1.3.
Could this be your problem?

Thank you for responding. I am using iOS 6.1.3. The dial phone works fine in the app if it is native, and as a web app. The problem only appears when the web app version is launched by a url link from another app.

Could you share with us a sample project that demonstrate the issue?

When you launch the link from another app are you installing the web app to that device also? I don’t think the web app will behave well if it is just running in Safari.
Just a thought.
