    Hello,

Does the startup image only display after you save to your homepage?
I got my web clip image and startup image working good after I added my site to my homepage.
Just wanted to be sure the startup image is not also suppose to work just using the web browser.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Never mind, I found the answer. It does only work after you save to home page.

I see you found the answer that in order for the webclip image and start-up/splash image to display correctly you must save your design when shown on your iphone to the homescreen.

    nawarekko,

To add a startup screen to your UI do the following:

    0) create a startup image; dimensions 320×460, PNG
    1) In the Design Center load the main design file that will startup when the app is launched
    2) select the Outline panel on on right next to Components and Media palettes
    3) select the root node
    – you should see the Properties Editor open
    4) if the Properties Editor is not visible then open (Windows>Properties)
5)in Properties select Startup Image and navigate to your custom 320×460 image
    6) save your UI (.mobi) file

    Now test your startup image:
    7) Launch Test Center
    8) Set emulator in “Strict Webclip Mode” (Browser>Strict Webclip Mode)
    9) Return to Design Center with the design file still open, select the “Run” button (green (>) button)
    – your design should appear in Test Center emulator
    10) in Test Center emulator, click the + button on bottom toolbar and add to homescreen
    – the emulator will return to the homescreen and you should see an app icon for your newly saved webapp
    11) Click the new app icon you just created
    – you should see the start up screen appear for 2-5 seconds while the app is loaded and initialized

You can use Send To My Phone feature now to sync the design to your iphone and then repeat steps 8-11 to test the startup image on a real device.
