The dev team has been busy with 7.0 GA so we have no such plans at the moment. I’ll keep you updated on this topic.

AFAIK MyEclipse does not provide plugins for JBoss products, including Seam. And the company tells nothing about plans on that matter. If it is not a priority for MyEclipse I would recommend to test compatibility with JBoss Tools on regular basis.
I had to move to clean Ganimede with JBTools because I didn’t manage to get them worked together with MyEclipse.

The conclusion is: at this point I can’t use the seam tools with MyEclipse, but Genuitec is trying to makeup for that by checking out how many have interest in that support to create it’s own version. T

hat means there will be two different ones. And Jboss tools have a richer set of tools which depend on the Core part. Isn’t possible to collaborate with Jboss about making to MyEclipse and Jboss tools compatibile? That way all the current features which Jboss tools have can be used! I think that would make it more appealing for developers which have learned and trust Jbosstools to upgrade to MyEclipse. I could imagine that the technical issues are too fast to overcome if that’s the case.

Now I wonder whether an attempt was made with Jboss to address the incompatibility?

This issue was posted at the Pulse forum too:
