hello
my eclipse doesn’t start well into one windows 64b platform.
i have o ne dell 7400 64bit (vista 64bits) and some times the eclipse starts but the 85%times doesn’t start well.
i have reinit the machine and i have reinstall the myeclipse.
can you help me?

Can you give some more information?
How did you install MyEclipse? used all-in-one installer/using pulse explorer/installed eclipse and added MyEclipse plugin?
If you installed from all in one installer can you verify the downloaded file size and md5sum?
If it is from pulse, can you clear all the personal softwares and try to install again?
After ME has started, can you copy paste your installation details here? You can get them from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
Also can you list out any errors that are logged in the log file located at workspace dir > .metadata > .log?

I think this could be a workspace related issue. If you switch to a new workspace, does the problem persist in the new workspace as well?

We ususally suggest our 64 bit windows users to setup Eclipse using the 64 bit windows installer and then setup MyEclipse over it using the Archive Update Site installer. Did you follow these steps to setup MyEclipse?

When you mentioned “the IDE does not start well”, did you mean the IDE crashes or throws an error? What exactly is happening?

The error log can be found under <workspace>/.metadata/.log file. You can get hold of the log even if the IDE fails to start.

We dont have an installer specifically for 64 bit windows. I wanted you to grab the Eclipse 64 bit installer from the eclipse website and then setup MyEclipse using the Archive Update Site installer which is available on the MyEclipse download page.

You can even go to http://www.poweredbypulse.com and download the 64 bit windows pulse installer. After launching the pulse explorer, add the MyEclipse profile to it.
