I would like very much to give people a download link where they can simply download my app to their Android phone. Is this possible?
I saw an explanation for the iPhone, but I doubt that would work for Android.

If so, can you explain the steps in detail? Thanks.

Hi mikeolmon,

You can distribute android apps freely as long as users enable the “install from unknown sources” setting. When you’re building your android app in the Digital Signature tab you should select “Digital certificate (.cer) file and private key” to distribute your apps. The development certificate is only for testing purposes.

Can you do this with an IOS app? Example, have a url on my website that will allow users to download the app without having to go to the app store?
I’m not a mac user….obviously…..and getting my app out to others is proving to be very difficult!!!

The only way to distribute mobione native apps for iOS is joining to iOS developer program for do it by app store or with the iOS enterprise program to share your app with the staff of your company.

The development certificate is only for testing purposes. ” since I am building an IOS app(basically the same procedures in android in terms of building it), May I ask for the step by step procedure to distribute my application w/out the development certificate since my application is not for testing anymore.
