Hello,
I have currently version 8.6 in Mac OS X 6.x (will upgrade to 7.x) and happy with it. I would like to upgrade to the new version 9.1 but without having to manually reinstall and setup and configure all the plugins I normally use e.g. Texclipse takes a while to make it work correctly and it does now … I don’t want to go through the pain of reinstalling everything from scratch. Is there an easier way?

You have to install MyEclipse 9.1 afresh, reason being the base Eclipse is different. MyEclipse 8.6 is based on Eclipse Galileo, whereas ME 9.1 is based on Eclipse – Helios. It is recommended that you verify the compatibility of your third party plugins when you upgrade to 9.1. Please ensure they are compatible with Eclipse 3.6.1
