I installed EclEmma (first using MyEclipse Marketplace, then manually by unzipping into the plugins folder), and the icon for EclEmma does not appear. Any ideas what to try next?

EclEmma decorator / icon can be enabled from MyEclipse preferences dialog. Open the preferences dialog from Window > Preferences. Navigate to page General > Appearance > Label Decorators. Select “Java Code Coverage” and press OK.

I checked the Java Code Coverage box, restarted MyEclipse — still no icon for Coverage. The Run menu also has no Coverage choices.

We could not replicate the issue at our end.
Can you please uninstall the Eclemma plugin from MyEclipse ? Remove the plugin from the plugins folder and / or uninstall from MyEclipse using Help > About MyEclipse enterprise workbench > Installation details > Installed software > Select Eclemma java code coverage and click on Uninstall button at the bottom and follow the wizard.
After uninstalling the plugin, install Eclemma plugin again from Help > Eclipse Marketplace and then check whether you can see the EclEmma decorator / icon and the coverage options under “Run” menu.
If you are still facing any issues, Can you please share your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation summary > Installation details ? Also, please check whether the Eclemma plugin is installed successfully (Check whether “code coverage” preference page is present under Java preference page under Window > Preferences) ?

My guess is that something went wrong with the installation of EclEmma, and it is not fully installed — nor is it completely uninstalled.

Thanks for the details provided.
Did you remove the plugins from <MyEclipse installation directory>/dropins folder ? If not, please remove the plugin from dropins folder.
I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse. Please follow the below instructions –
1. Open pulse. In case you don’t have pulse, please download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
2. Login to pulse. If you don’t have a pulse login, you can also login anonymously.
3. This will redirect you to the pulse-explorer page. Now choose the base eclipse from top left hand corner dropdown as “Eclipse 3.7- Indigo”
4. Expand “My Profiles”. This should list you “MyEclipse 10”
5. Right click on “MyEclipse10” and from the context menu click on [Re-install and run]
Pulse will automatically fix any dependency or installation issues.After following the above steps, can you please check whether EclEmma plugin is working fine ?

Can you please download MyEclipse 2013 (latest version) / MyEclipse 10.7.1 from the following link and install it alongside your MyEclipse 10.6 version, install EclEmma plugin and check whether the plugin is working fine ?

EclEmma installs in 10.7 just fine. Rather than fight with 10.6, I’ll just upgrade to 10.7.

Unfortunately, MyEclipse 2013 is unusably slow, so I really do need to get this working in MyEclipse 10.7.1.
I uninstalled MyEclipse, reinstalled MyEclispe 10.7.1. I followed the directions above, and Profile now appears under the Run menu. Unfortunately, Profile Configurations does not include JUnit or JUnit Plug-in Test (which I guess are the configurations that I need). How do I make those appear?
