After installing MyEclipse 3.8 beta 1 on Windows XP, several messages (Strings) in Eclipse 3 are wrong.

Example: The launch (toolbar) button on the Java or MyEclipse perspective. Normally it shows “Run as …” now it shows “!LaunchAsAction.0!”.

Ok, this example is quite harmless—but I also get unreadable error messages, which is much worse …

please help!

If the bad strings are all related to debugging (Window > Preferences > Debug/Run) and those run menus, then the fix is here:

And yes the weird Run As names are also fixed by this.

Because Beta 2 is not just bug fixes, its the majority of new features for the 3.8 release on our roadmap that didn’t make it into Beta 1.
