John FerronMemberEclipse:Version: 3.0.0 Build id: 200406251208
MyEclipse: 3.7.2
Java 1.4.2I have a subscription under MyEclipse 2.7 and wanted to upgrade to the 3.7.2 for the functionality. I un-installed MyEclipse through add/remove and deleted the corresponding eclipse folder. I then installed 3.0 and 3.7.2 and that installed fine. When I went to go look at the subcription (Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Subscription, this error popped up:
Could not accept changes. The currently displayed page constains invalid values.
.
I then reclicked and saw that you could enter in the subscription info an did that.. but it did not take my subscription info. Any ideas guys??

Scott AndersonParticipantJohn,
The problem might be the choice of Eclipse 3.0 and MyEclipse 3.7.2. MyEclipse 3.7.2 was released for one of the M-builds (M8) and is not compatible with 3.0 final. You’ll need to use 3.8 Beta 1 for that. This is most likely the cause of the problem you’re experiencing since many of the API’s we use were changed in the later M-builds and we had to perform significant modifications for M9+. I’d suggest trying 3.8 Beta 1 instead to rectify the issue.
However, if that doesn’t do the trick, more help than this is best handled via email since it is related to your particular subscription. The best way to resolve this is to send the steps you performed along with a screenshot (if you can) to subscriptions@genuitec.com and they’ll get you taken care of.

What version of Eclipse can I downgrade to to get it to work??Well, it’s a bit of a nasty choice. You either have to use Eclipse 3.0 M8 (the milestone 8 build) and 3.7.2 or Eclipse 3.0 Final and 3.8.1 Beta. So, you’re going to be running on pre-release software in either configuration. In truth, Eclipse 3.0 M8 was one of the buggiest milestone builds of Eclipse 3.0. Given the choices, I’d highly recommend Eclipse 3.0 and 3.8 Beta 1 since our beta has been out for a few weeks and the number of problems with it have been relatively minor. In about a week, we’ll be releasing 3.8 Beta 2 which will be followed by our 3.8 Final in mid July.
John FerronMemberOk.. thanks for all of your help.
Scott AndersonParticipantJohn,
No problem. That’s why we’re here. 🙂
