mosofskyMemberI’ve been successfully using the Google Plugin for Eclipse (https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/eclipse) with MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench (version 10.1).
However, recently Google announced support for “modules” (https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/modules/). I can’t figure out how to get this to work on MyEclipse because all of the documentation about Google App Engine Modules are written for Eclipse, not MyEclipse. The most important documentation is https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/webtoolsplatform. It talks about Dynamic Web Projects but as I understand it is supported as a Web Project in MyEclipse (according to https://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-printview-t-27317-start-0.html). None of the Eclipse screenshots are the same as the screens in MyEclipse. For example I can’t find something called the “Target runtime” in MyEclipse.
Moreover I need to be able to create an Enterprise Application Project. I can find the way to create it in MyEclipse but none of the screenshots from the https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/webtoolsplatform documentation match MyEclipse.
I’ve read that people have trouble getting Google App Engine working with MyEclipse:
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/google-app-engine-support/
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6365040/google-plugin-in-myeclipse-9-unable-to-sign-inI’ve had more luck than these poor souls but now I’m facing a big problem. I can’t even remember why I bought MyEclipse now. The 11 reasons for why to use MyEclipse (http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-6.html) no longer seem to pertain to me. It’s supposed to be a complete solution but it’s not complete as far as my needs are concerned. It’s supposed to save me time, but I’m wasting time right now it feels like.
Can someone translate https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/webtoolsplatform from explanations for Eclipse to MyEclipse?
support-pradeepMembermosofsky,
