OK I have just deleted a Enterprise java project which I didn’t need. This was referencing an EJB project that I do need when I deleted the EAR project its deleted the EJB as well!

My backup cd of this EJB project won’t read (my cd writer seems to corrupt cds every now and then)!

I know eclipse stores local backups of changes does anyone know where?
or would they’ve been killed as well?

Oh jeez… I am checking with Scott on this, in the mean time you can pickup a good Plextor CD-RW burning starting at $54 and pay up to $128 for their top of the line bradn new DVD burner: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?Submit=manufactory&catalog=5&manufactory=1323&DEPA=0&Order=price

Ok funky Scott has this to say:

I *think* if you recreate the EJB project under the same name you can then
right-click on it and do a local history check. Also, the project might
just have been deleted from the workspace and not from the file system so
the user should just try to import it and see he can find it that way first.

Sorry I never replied to this. I managed the get the source code back from the class files (which were on a server) by using the DJ Java Decompiler. Which, although the were no comments in the source it generated, it did a sterling job and saved my skin bigtime.

note to everyone (back up…back up..BACK UP!) ;o)
