Hi Lisa,
The steps for using Send To Phone feature are:
1) enter your email address in the Test Center, Send To Phone settings and select Save button at top right, Test Center>Settings>Sent To Phone
e.g., my carrier is ATT so I enter mailto:myphonenum@att.net
2) Open emulator browser to an interesting URL
3) right-click, select Send To Phone
<wait>, <wait> there, my email client opens, e.g., Outlook Express or Window Mail or Windows Live or Win-Whatever-They-Call-It-Now-Mail opens with predefined content containing the browser’s URL and recipient is mailto:myphonenum@att.net
If step-3 bonks for you (like nothing happens) then most likely there is a goof up looking up your system’s default email client in the Windows registry.
Try this from your Window Program menu,
XP: select Run and enter “mailto://foo@bar.com”
Vista/Win7: in search field enter “mailto://foo@bar.com”
Does your email client open a new message editor addressed to mailto:foo@bar.com? If not then your system’s email client registration is goofed up. Let me know what you experience.
