1. WHY is it taking me 2hrs 32mins to download EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1M2_E3.1.exe when it normally takes me less that 30mins.
2 Having downloaded EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1M2_E3.1.exe, installAnywhere throws an application error:
The instruction at “0x00421cb0” referenced memory at “0x00000000”. The memory could not be “written”
3. I use Windows 2003 server, but I read somewhere that you don’t do W2k3 server. Come on be serious, how can you discount W2k3 server users.
4 I don’t think I can afford 2hr 30mins to download a manual install copy. 2hr 30mins for a any software developer is a long time indeed – I could teach myself to be proficient in C# in that time.

Hmm, that is strange. I just tested the download server and I just pulled down the latest release at over 200KB/s and under 10 minutes so maybe when you tried the something in between your location and ours was slowing it down. We recently upgraded our download capacity before the 4.0 release to handle the demand.

This could be because of a bad download copy. I am showing a md5sum of
14402cfb90c22f985f2d6c42de5f0e47for the windows version.
If you have this same md5sum and it still doesn’t work you can always use our manual install package that can be downloaded on the same page as our other downloads.

Overall, we support Windows 2003 just fine. There are just one feature, the WYSIWYG HTML/JSP Designer, that some users have reports problems on win2k3. We are still trying to narrow down the cause of this as we have reports that it both works and doesn’t work on this platform. So your experiences will be valuable in this area.

We agree that hours of a developers times are indeed important. This is one of our core goals is for our products to just work and save developers time and headaches. Hopefully the next time you try to download things will be faster.
