The ability to select a single table in the database explorer and then generate an ERD showing only related tables would be nice. This might fix the jpeg size export problems. You could allow the user to select the depth level of related tables to include in the ERD. If the user chose depth level 1 only tables related to the selected table would be included. If you chose depth level 2 tables related to the selected table and their related tables would be included..etc.
