peterwontnerMemberI am trying the EJB features of MyEclipse and am getting the following error when trying to create a new EJB object (File->New->EJB->EJB (session, entity, and message)) in an error dialog…
“The selected wizard could not be started”
Reason:
Plug-in com.genuitec.eclipse.wizards was unable to load class
com.aston.wizards.ejb.NewEjbCreationWizard.I have looked in the start up plug section of the preferences, and the only aston plugin declared has a tick in the check box to run on workbench start up. Is there some other plugin I need to run?
Riyad KallaMemberCan you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.
Also please provide the Build IDs for Eclipse (Help > About) and MyEclipse… also note if you are using the Eclipse Platform, JDT or SDK install.
peterwontnerMemberRiyad,
configuration info…OS
Windows XP Pro SP 1Eclipse
Version: 3.0.0
Build Id: 200406192000MyEclipse
Version: 3.8.1 +QF20040823
Build Id: 200408201200-3.8.1 +QF20040823Other info…
Eclipse was not installed specifically for MyEclipse, I have been working with Eclipse 3.0.0 since it was released, and was a full install (not an update).
Using JDK 1.4.2_04
Not using App Server.
I am also using the -clean option to start MEIncidentally I tried this with a fresh install of Eclipse & ME 3.8.1 and it seems to work. As soon as I install the recent Quick Fix this error appeared.
GregMemberOne thing that I notice immediately is the your Eclipse 3.0 installation isn’t the latest official 3.0.0 release. The build id for eclipse 3.0 final should be 200406251208. That is the only eclipse 3.0 version that is supported by MyEclipse 3.8.X. Please install a clean Eclipse 3.0 and MyEclipse 3.8.1+QF20040823 and then see if you problem still exists. This may not solve your problem but it helps us rule out one potential problem.
Here is the download link to the Eclipse 3.0 final for your conveinence.
