I am migrating a J2EE application developed under WSAD using the Dimensions scc plugin. It looks like the RAD migration tool did its magic, and I see the bean decorations and the associated MyEclipse menu items in the context menu and properties dialog. When I try to run EJBDeploy against the ear or any of the EJB projects, pointing at a WebSphere 7server, I get an error,
“EJB deploy failed. Project ‘xyz’ is mapped to repository type ‘com.merant.team.pvcs.PvcsSccNature’ which does not support linked resources’.
I have installed MyEclipse Blue in 32 bit mode, and WebSphere Application Server in 64 bit mode. The server starts ok via the MEB UI, but I can’t deploy the EJB’s. I tried Enhanced and in-workspace mode. Any ideas?

    dmfahey,

It looks like the errors you see are produced by Serena, not by MyEclipse. MyEclipse is using linked folders technology during EJB Deploy operation.

Can you check if the deployment works fine when you uninstall the Serena Dimension plugin ?

I assume Serena does not support linked folders in the projects it tracks, or at least does not support linked folders with regard of the type of repository you are using, so you are getting notification errors regarding that matter as soon as ME creates a linked folder.

Could you please ask Serena support if that is true and Serena does not support linked folders? Also please let them know that a real support is not needed, all we need is the linked folders to be totally ignored.
