support-joyMemberSri,
Can you answer couple of questions for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
2. How did you add aptana plugin to MyEclipse 8.5? Please ensure that the added plugin is compatible to Eclipse 3.5.2.
sritdMemberHi, sorry for the late reply. But I was able to install the Aptana RadRails for MyEclipse 8.5. Because you asked, here is my MyEcplise installation summary.

support-joyMemberSri,
Thank you for your installation details. Good to hear you are all set. As for the PHP issue, can you please point me to that weblink?
support-joyMemberSri,
Thank you for pointing me to the link.
How are you trying to add PDT plugin? Do you have any weblink / update site?
Can you try the following –
1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center
2. Select *Dashboard* tab
3. Un-check “MyEclipse IE Javascript Debugger (windows only)”
4. Pending changes will list 1 managed change.
5. Click on [Apply 1 change] and follow the wizard
6. Try to add your PDT plugin.Let me know how this works for you.
Sridhar DevulkarMemberHello Joy,
Thanks for the reply. I did not use any update site to add PDT, but just typed PDT in the Software tab in the MyEclipse Configuration Center and from the list of available plugins selected the Eclipse PHP IDE (PDT) and tried to install and got the errors that I had posted in my previous post.
I followed the steps you had given me. I unchecked the “MyEclipse IE Javascript Debugger” and successfully was able to add the PDT. Very nice. However I haven’t created a project in PHP and tried it out, which is my next step.
Thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it. You have saved me a days worth of work :-).
Could you please help me understand as to why the IE Javascript Debugger causing an issue when trying to add PDT?
Thanks,
Sri.
support-joyMemberSri,
Good to hear you are all set. This problem is caused in 8.0GA because we introduced the IE Debugger which does have different dependencies on DLTK.
Best.
Sridhar DevulkarMemberHi Joy,
Again, thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it.
Sri.
Sridhar DevulkarMemberHi Joy,
Thanks for your help with everything. I was finally able to get the PHP environment up and running and was able to even do a sample phpinfo test script and was able to see the results in the browser.
I wanted to checkout the PHP debugger and tried using the TestDebugger option available in the debug configuration, but got a message saying that dummy.php is not found. Please verify that the Zend Debugger is properly installed on the server ….
Because I was able to find the Zend Debugger as a listed option in the debug configuration I thought it was packaged along with the PDT, is this right?
I also tried to install the Zend Debugger through the MyEclipse Configuration Center, but got the following error:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=com.poweredbypulse.profile-0-rb-578452-1270747719440, phase=com.genuitec.pulse2.client.common.download.PulseCollect, operand=, action=).
Could not find repositories containing the following artifacts: [org.eclipse.update.feature,org.zend.php.debug_feature,5.3.7.v20091116, osgi.bundle,org.zend.php.debug.debugger,5.3.7.v20091116, osgi.bundle,org.zend.php.debug.debugger.win32.x86,5.3.7.v20091116]Would you help me to solve this one too?
Thanks,
Sri.
support-joyMemberSri,
Zend Debugger should be be packaged along with PDT. I am afraid I cannot offer you any alternate solutions for this. I have escalated your issue to dev team. They will get back to you on this.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
