The execute sql shortcut (Ctrl + F9) is broken. Is there a work-around to get it working?

Whenever I mouse-over the run button, it reminds me about the Ctrl + F9 shortcut, but I can not get it to work.

I’m using MyEclipse 7.5 with a .sql file opened with the MyEclipse SQL Editor.

I’ve also tried modifying the shortcut keys using different options, but I still can’t get it to work.

Are there any errors when you execute the sql?
Can you try going to Windows > Preferences > General > Keys and click on “Restore Defaults” ? This will restore all keys to default values.
Also, can you try switching to a new workspace and check if the issue persists?

Thanks. That helped me troubleshoot the problem. I figured out how the change the shortcut key to run sql, but it wasn’t easy.

In case it helps someone else change this shortcut key. I did the following to change it:

– Press Ctrl + Shift + L then Ctrl + Shift + L again to open the keys preferences.
– In filter text, type sql. Scroll down to Run SQL (which is listed twice).
– For the first one (when Editing SQL), select and click the Unbind command button.
– For the second one (In Windows), select and change binding to the keyboard shortcut of your choice (I use Ctrl + Enter).
– Click Apply
