This same issue has occurred in the past and was fixed.

It is now occurring in Photon. I do not have this issue in Oxygen.

@ryandague, Thanks for reporting this issue. We will investigate it. We are currently working on making DevStyle work better in Photon so hopefully we will have a good set of fixes for the next release.

    Cheers!

Confirming this issue. It happens in various (but not all) tree views where there are icons + text.
    For example, the “Problems” view.

Using latest version of Eclipse + devStyle as of today.
    4K monitor, 1080p @ HiDpi (200% scaling).

    Ryan/Bobbie,

The icon alignment issue at high DPI is not fixed in the current release. The dev team is working on it.
You can track the status of the bug – see the top of this thread for a link.
We will keep you posted when the fix is out.

Apologies for inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience.

    Ryan / Bobby,

We’ve released a fix for this issue in our prerelease stream which you can install following instructions here: https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/webclipse-angular-ide-prerelease-stream/

(Ryan, I’ve already suggested that you use this same stream for a fix for the horizontal scrollbar issue as well).

We’re working towards a hotfix release for this next week, but are putting these fixes out on the prerelease for those who’d like to get to them early, while we continue to test the hotfix build in preparation for a public release. If you do try this update, would appreciate you letting us know if it fixes your problem.

    @Brian

These instructions do not seem to apply to a regular Photon install…
    Where is configuration/config.ini ?

EDIT: please ignore, found it seconds after posting this.

I modified config.ini but since on Photon there is no Help > Webclipse > Check for Updates, there is no way to apply the update.

    Bobbie,

Thanks for bringing that to our attention – that menu action is apparently not available if you only have DevStyle installed, as opposed to Webclipse/Angular IDE + DevStyle.

I have now updated that link with instructions that should work for DevStyle too, do check and let me know if you were able to apply the update.

Thanks, applied the update sucessfully and confirming icons do not overlap text anymore in 3 different places where I notice they did (and amusingly in the “Install new software” dialog).

    Bobbie,

Thank you for that quick confirmation – great to know that the fix works and is safe for more general release!

I can also confirm that the update appears to fix the icon and text overlap at 200% DPI scaling.
