I am wondering if there is a document describing how one can extend and add further functionality to DAO’s generated by ME?

Specifically, I want DAO’s to follow a specific archiecture, by inheriting from, extending and/or implementing certain manually coded or auto generated classes. Can I create custom templates and have ME create corresponding classes while it is generating code for POJO + DAO’s?

Any direction on creating and using custom template would be helpful.

Custom templates is something we are working hard on adding in MyEclipse 5.0. I don’t believe the functionality you want is there right now, but we want to be able to provide support for folks editing the templates to whatever form they need then using them in 5.0 and later releases.
