I am trying to open up an XML file that is about 500K (generated from a doclet). Granted, it is large, but I can open the file in Notepad++ in a few seconds. Using the MyEclipse XML Editor, it takes about a minute. Then formatting that same file, literally 5 minutes. Is there anything that can be done on your side to optimize this?

Can you answer some more questions for me?
1. Installation Details.Please copy paste your installation details here from the menu MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details .
2.How many projects do you have in your workspace?
3.Does your xml file have XSD references?
4.Do you have the memory arguments set in the eclipse.ini file ?
5. Are you connected to a network?Can you please try some steps for me?
1.Please try cleaning your workspace with -clean command arg. Here is how it can be done :

2. Switch to a new workspace import your file and check.
3. If you are connected to a network, disconnect from it and check.Let us know how it works for you.
