    Hi,

I’m trying to open faces-config.xml file in ME5.0M1 on Eclipse3.2RC7 and am getting the following error:

org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: Project 'CLRPortal' is not configured as a MyEclipse Web-JSF Project. Therefore the MyEclipse JSF Config Editor may not be used with faces-config.xml. The default XML Editor has been used to open the file instead.

Is your faces-config.xml file located in a MyEclipse-Web project that has JSF capabilities added to it, or some other type of project? If so what kind?

Yes, I’ve created this project as a Web project, how do I confirm if all these capabilities are added to it? Right-clicking the project and going under MyEclipse menu doesn’t display JSF capabilities there, does it mean that they’ve been added to the project? Are there some metadata file that registers it? I don’t think this problem existed in 3.1 Please let me know.
    Thank you,
    Simeon

Select your project and then use the “MyEclipse” menu in the Eclipse menubar. If the menu item “Add JSF Capabilities…” is grayed out, then your project has had JSF capabilities added to it.
