TonyGMemberHi,
after upgrading to v 1.3, Mobione asked to be restarted and now I’m getting the following message “Failed to create the Java Virtual Machine” in a pop-up dialog box.
Any thought why this is happening.
TonyGMemberHi Wayne,
Just an update to this post. Since I’ve upgraded to v1.3, I cannot use Mobione…. I’ve uninstalled Mobione and re-installed v1.3 from scratch, still no luck.
support-michaelKeymasterI’m sorry to hear the update is goofing up on your environment. Try this process:
0) verify that the MobiOne_1.3.0_Installer.exe is 128Mb, see my screenshot of installer properties below.
if your installer is smaller than this then it is possibly a bad download. Try downloading again.1) terminate any MobiOne tools running such as Design Center and Test Center
2) Uninstall MobiOne
3) Manually ensure that no remnant files are left around. In File Explorer inspect the installation directory and delete all MobiOne files that may exist. On Win7/Vista: C:\Users\<youraccount>\AppData\Local\MobiOne Studio
On XP: C:\Program Files\MobiOne Studio4) Reinstall MobiOne using all default locations recommended by MobiOne
– do not allow installer to launch MobiOne on exit5) Launch MobiOne from Program Menu
TonyGMemberThanks Wayne for getting back to me.
It looks like the v1.3 .exe file is only 125,529 KB. I’ve tried downloading it a number of times and the size never goes over 125.

support-michaelKeymasterI’ve been continuing to research this issue and found the cause. It is that we updated the memory settings of MobiOne in 1.3 and 1.3.1 which appear to be too aggressive on some systems such as your’s. I posted a quick workaround procedure on the following thread:
http://www.genuitec.com/support-mobione/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2102
We are working on some hot-fixes including reverting back to less aggressive memory settings now for the 1.3.2 release.
TonyGMemberThanks Wayne,
that solution worked for me.
