Somehow when my computer got rebooted without exiting Eclipse, my project lost the association with a WebSphere exploded deployment. It doesn’t show up in the list. But when I try to redeploy the application, I get the error message “Exploded location overlaps existing deployment” and I’m not allowed to click “Finish”.

What MyEclipse configuration file can I clean out so that I can reinstall my application?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,

Sorry to hear about this. Can you try deleting the deployments in your WebSphere installations “installableApps” subdirectory? I think that will resolve the issue. However, you might also need to remove the exploded set of directories under “installedApps” (or undeploy through the websphere console) if that doesn’t do it.

I had two projects, one that contains the Web app, and one that I use to generate the EAR from the Web app. The one that contains the Web app was accidentally deployed as an exploded archive. Once I removed that deployment from the Web app project, I was able to redeploy it as an exploded EAR from the enterprise project.

    Thanks,
    Mike
