I am about to purchase a license for Java Studio Creator, and I am sick at the idea of buying yet another IDE, especially since MyEclipse is so great. The lack of JSF Visual Designer is the #1 reason why I will make the jump. I would really like to keep the money in my pocket. Will the visual designer be included in 3.8.3? And what will it consist of? Will it be comprable to Exadel JSF studio? Java Studio Creator? Also an ETA on the delivery date would be good. Mostly though what can I expect in the designer? The roadmap just says there will be one.

The good news we expect 3.8.3 to roll out late next week.

The bad news, it will not include an update of JSF tools. We are currently working on a JSP Visual Designer that we will extend out to support JSF and Struts. We expect to get the JSP Visual Designer out in Q1 and possibly a JSF flow designer along with some other really cool big features.

Thanks for the answer, maybe it is your policy not to comment on features expected to be in an upcomming release, but can you give some idea of the types of features included in the Q1 JSF designer?
