    You know,

it doesnt matter what you try and develop in MB1. Whether its a hash of javascript, jquery or even good old fashioned application buttons from within the UI, it just crashes. It seems to me that the only real thing you can build on it is a page with a few images. Nothing of any value because its too unstable. The test centre just shows the “Not Responding” every flipping time!!!!!!

Why dont you put this in the features list?

    frost screen
    hanging application
    test centre that scrashes

    great app guys arrrgghhhhhhhhhhghhhhhhh

    Sarcasm unappreciated!

Nigel, I was enjoying my Sat evening watching NFL playoffs and doing voluntary tech support. I read your feedback and really don’t know what to say anymore. Yes, I will agree that the Test Center has some issues, mostly with the stupid websql technology (see the recent 2.3 release notes that talks to this). It has been an ambitious approach that we will soon replace with a different technology. But I disagree that MobiOne is limited as I have seen some very well done apps. I think it comes down to understanding and appreciating mobile app development. From some of your support cases you have been naive and reckless in your development methods which will break most mobile tools and frameworks. So I think there is blame to be shared here. Since you seem to have bad luck with whatever you attempt with MobiOne I propose the following: 1) stop using the Test Center immediately and switch to using Chrome, and 2) we refund your purchase on Monday and you can apply the funds to an alternative development product of your choice.
I wish you the best as you move on.

Wayne, I like MobiOne. It has it quirks and will sputter and spit at us all, but it helps me with my job. Does it do all, heck no, but it get’s me 90 percent of the way to where I need to be with a minimum of effort. I can afford to expend the other 10 percent to get the job done.

I wrote my first program 40 years ago. It was in BASIC on an IBM-360 using punch cards. I’ve seen them all.

Nigel, quit whining. Get your money back and go somewhere else.

Thanks for all the hard work, Wayne and the rest of the folks at Genuitec.

Nigel: I use mobione to create very complex apps and some easy apps.
I created a game with this tool and it works perfectly. So I don’t understand your issues. Maybe it’s problem with your computer, but absolutely not with MobiOne…On forum there is a lot of satisfied users.

I had a long detailed response – but it’s not posting.

So long post as shortened version.

The development environment is very stable – including the emulator.
The only problem sometimes is the sql query interface – if that’s the problem
    then i just use chrome.

The problem for you OP could be one of two things.

    1. your computer. make sure you have a relatively recent computer with
plenty of memory and disk space.

    2. your code.

Bummer on your long post. I have talked to our network security about this and he will not budge on relaxing some of the filters that stop posts, e.g., I have learned you can not include a percent sign in post… The backdrop on this nazi filtering is that there is usually 1000-1000 script kiddy attacks/day on our sites.

I empathize on this sql tooling. Our team killed themselves on the 2.3 dev roadmarch but could not fix it in time. We included a recommendation in the 2.3 release notes to use Chrome or Safari webkit inspector for websql debugging. In 2.3.1 update planned in next 1-2 weeks we have removed the websql inspector until it works properly. We/I feel bad for the frustration it has caused some of you.
