JimMemberI’m running the latest v7.0 M2 on WinXP SP2.
I’m having trouble getting my font size to stick. I open my editor, set the font and size (Consolas, 12), work for the day and then shut down my PC.
On occasion when I restart Eclipse – my font settings for the size are not honored.
If I open the font settings – it’s still set to 12 but not displayed as 12 in the editor. I have to set the font to 14, click OK/Apply – then set it back to 12 and OK/Apply again. Then the font will be set correctly.

Loyal WaterMemberJim,
What editor are you working with? Can you please list the steps to help me reproduce this issue at my end.Thank you.
JimMemberCFEclipse plugin mainly.
It seems to be better in 7m2 than in the previous version but it still happens occasionally.
I open Eclipse and set my font size
Window > Preferences > Appearance > Colors and Fonts
I set Basic > Text font to Consolas 12 and save my prefs.
Next time I start Eclipse however (and this is a bit random) but my font SIZE will be wrong. When I go into the settings it will still be set correctly – Consolas 12 but in the editor itself the font size is smaller. I then have to set the font size to 14, save my prefs, then set it to 12 again and this will change the font size in the editor back to the correct size (12).
Loyal WaterMemberHi,
This is related to a known issue that the dev team is already working on. We will try to get this fixed asap. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Brian FernandesModeratorJim,
While we are aware of this problem we are having a hard time reproducing this issue.
What editors are you experiencing the problem in? When you experienced this problem, did any editors automatically open when you restarted eclipse (or editors you had left open when you closed your workbench)?
If you have any other information that you think may help us reliably replicate this issue, please send it our way. Thanks!
JimMemberI use CFEclipse 99% of the time. I don’t recall having this issue when I was running CFEclipse on a native Eclipse install. Only since I’ve switched to MyEclipse.
Today I will try to restart my machine during the day. I usually notice it when I first crank up my PC and MyEclipse in the AM.
During the day – when I simply restart MyEclipse – it doesn’t seem to reset the font size.
