JMayrbaeurlMemberPlease provide asap full maven integration! Wizards for maven project configuration would be nice, too.
Riyad KallaMemberWe will address the Maven integration in a future release, we realize it is quite a popular request.
Richard GillParticipantLooking forward to seeing Maven added!
Xavier MartinMemberThere is a time line for this feature? I really want maven support in MyEclipse.
Riyad KallaMemberNo timeline… the good news is that the developer of one of the only 2 (or 3) Maven plugins for Eclipse is part of our team, so we *know* we can do it, its just an issue of priorities… right now our users and clients are asking for different things and only a few avid fans of Maven have asked for it… we are aware of how cool Maven is and the popularity of it, so its only a matter of time before we swing back and add support for it. Sorry for the delay guys, I can promise you we aren’t sitting on our laurels 😉
Gernot GlaweMemberHi!
Can you support a maven configuration with works with struts integration?
We use maven, myeclipse and struts. The extra directories of myeclipse do not synchronize with the maven config.
…
Riyad KallaMemberWe have not fully evaluated our Maven strategy at this time… let us get 3.8.3 and 3.9 out the door first, we have a whole slew of things already targetted for those releases that I’m sure you guy will like.
Matheus Costa LeiteMemberWhat is the current timeline for Maven integration at this time?
chavezbMemberHI,
is this still planned, realized or whatever ?
Esteban.
DennieMemberYeah, I like to see Maven integration to. I’m using mevenide right now and it works ok, but it could be better integrated. Specially the synchronization of dependencies (runtime) to the application server plugin. Hope this gets high priority. Btw: take a look at the netbeans maven integration, that really rocks.
rabba42MemberAny news on the maven integration timeline?
Riyad KallaMemberNo news from management as they are focused entirely on 5.0. The mood around the office has gone from “What is Maven” to “When are we adding Maven support”, so that’s the first step. I think once we are recentered ontop of WTP 1.5 and the new project formats and all that leg-work is done in 5.0, we will have the bandwidth to say “ok, now back to features and extensions” and focus on things like Maven.
Just to clarify, this is my off-the-cuff estimation, not a promise or a timeline.
Richard GillParticipantWhat is the status of including Maven integration?
Riyad KallaMemberThere is no update I have from management yet. It’s being looked at for the 6.0 release along with a lot of other big ticket items. I will update you as we know more.
Richard GillParticipantThanks.
