One thing that I have dearly loved in previous editors is a simple keyboard macro facility. I hit one button to start recording keystrokes, start typing to perform some series of interesting actions, hit another button to stop recording and then re-play the macro over and over to complete a long and repetitive task.

I would LOVE for y’all to include that in MyEclipse.

This would most likely come in the form as a basic Eclipse addition to their editor frameowrk that we would then build on. We would not likely implement macros ourselves as they would probably eventually be done by the Eclipse team.

People keep asking for this feature many years, and it’s not coming to Eclipse. Could you do this for us? Could you take Macro-Shmacro and fix/enhance it?
