sedwardMemberI understand that, when I import an XMI 1.0 file into a UMR, that the XMI file does not represent “diagram” information, and therefore, all I get when I import is the model, and if I want a diagram, I need to “drag and drop” class names into the Class Diagram editor.
What I am wondering is whether you currently have, (or plan to develop in the future), a feature that would make “re-creating” these diagrams easier. For example, it would be nice if I could simply drag and drop one class member into the diagram, and then select an option that basically means “create diagram with this class as parent”. In other words, rather than making me find and drag all the components that make up a segment of my model, it would be nice if I could simply specify one node, and have MyEclipse look at the model, to come up with a rudimentary Class Diagram representation of all the “children”. (Similar to what the HyperModel Eclipse PlugIn can do with an XMI file.) Maybe even other features that let me ask for a diagram to be generated “one generation down”, “two generations down”, etc. where MyEclipse then looks at the model, and attempts to create an “adequate enough” diagram from whatever starting point I specify.
Does something like this exist? If not, is it a new feature you are considering for the future? If not, please consider this a request to consider it.
Thanks!

Thanks! Such a feature would be really helpful.
Another feature that would be extremely helpful: The ability to generate XML Schema directly from the UMR model.
