there is a growing need for having a configurable tool that manages external jars and their dependencies… between struts, spring, hibernate… and the commons libs.

much like you copy in the struts jars into a project, it could do so generically for defined jars… but do so and check conflicts.

where is the right place to suggest such a feature?
(heck look at all the libraries that spring brings along, depending on what you want to use it with)

Library management was added in Eclipse 3.0, this suggestion would likely be for the Eclipse/JDT team.
