    as you can “add struts support” or hibernate support.
    it would be great if you could add support for a group of libraries you setup yourself.

    like spring, or apache commons, or logging, or quartz… etc.
    (so MyEclipseIDE doesn’t need to maintain versions of every jar out there just let users configure ones they don’t support.)

    Isn’t this already supported by eclipse 3.0 in the form of User Defined Libraries (Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Build Path -> User Libraries)? If library grouping is all you want, this will do it for you.

    The Add Cap plugins in ME are specialized – they add both libraries as well as config files, metadata storage, etc.

    Jason, I think you just described User Libraries, like Jeff mentioned.

    Are we missing some functionality that is not present with those?
