I’m updating my 3 “Las Vegas Guide” for Winter 2013; the apps are currently up in iTunes.
I updated content on my first “Spas” app, did the iOS rebuild to test on my i5, and noticed the link to URL was no longer functioning. I have updated Mobione to the latest version, and noticed the new options to “Go to URL”. After spending 2 hours last night, I still cannot get the iOS builds to work. My app has detailed information for each Spa, which includes a go to URL nav bar that takes the user to a website, such as the official page for Bellagio Las Vegas A few basic questions:
1. The two basic options in the URL ‘go to’ are “Universal” and “Native”. What exactly does this mean, and which do I select?
2. I’ve tried “Universal” for both “open in new window” and “open in current”; I can’t get either to work in the builds.
3. I’ve tried the “Native” for full control, no control, etc; this works; but has caused the app to lock up. And I cannot get an example where I open the URL from the iOS installed build, and actually get the ‘controls’ bar with the back button, etc.
4. It would be great if I could have the functionality of going to the URL link such as Bellagio, then having the capability of returning to the app.
5. Several of the iOS build #’s are 130477; 127523; 128522; 130463; 139384.What am I doing wrong?

Could you tell me what was the old version of Mobione that you were using?
Do you have a file that you have not upgraded the file format to research? Actually, please send us your project to investigate about the problem with the Open URL in new window (Native) feature. Send it to support at genuitec dot com, use title: Mobione data from MikeGuys-
Updates? My request is now over 2 weeks old, and haven’t heard anything. I’d like to get my 3 updates uploaded to iTunes Connect.

We were able to replicate the problem in his app. We opened a bug for the dev team and they have it in the queue. I requested status and will follow up with you tomorrow. Apologies for not closing the loop when we confirmed the issue.

I downloaded and I’m installing; I’ll let you know what I find.
Please explain the the difference between “Universal” and “Native Only” when I select the go to url option? Which do I use – as you know my apps are up in ITunes, and the links a user would select from the app would take them to a specific page within the Las Vegas Bellagio website, for example.
Please let me know 🙂

Nope. Worse. Thr ipa build is 329024. The ipa build fine, loads up on the 4S, splash screen loads, the app appears to be ready. Then hit a nav bar and just stalls out and goes nowhere.

hi Mike,
Hmm! I’m not sure what could be goof’n on your navbar. Access to your private build data is restricted access so it will be a little while before one of us can get the build data. To expedite this can you try the following:
1) delete the app from your device
2) rebuild it and test it again.
If this does not clear the situation we will need more info such as a repeatable test case, e.g., your project with the UI design files.I wanted to share that as part of our testing I used the vegas app you shared with us a few weeks ago to test the GotoURL on iOS. That behavior was working nicely in a private version of your app I created for testing 2.3.2.dev4 before sharing it publicly.

I can’t even get it to run in the test center on my computer, let along on my 4S. I’ve zipped the whole app and sent it into your support email. I’ve been dead in the water for 3 weeks now, And I’ve got to get 3 updates for Winter 2013 up in the app store. Please help.

I’ve followed up with you by email requesting your project (not .ipa file) to investigate. The ipa file can not be used for general debugging. Thanks
Hi Wayne & Octavio-
The updated Spas app is perfect and up with the ITunes Gods for review. I’ve also sent you the my entire ‘Celebrity Chef’ app, as this is having a similar problem, and I’ve described that in my email.
