Hi there! I’m trying to make my company to acquire a license from myeclipse, I really did a good marketing over the product, but we ran in a series of problems that are making things difficult here.

Our project existed in eclipse long before myeclipse. So the integration wasnt very easy. First “bug” myeclipse forces the output path of folders, no matter what we had set before.
So I added struts suport to show how easy is to create an action + form + jsp. Ppl got very pleased, until it stopped working and now I can’t add struts capabilities to the project anymore, it just vanished, gone …
Also, jsp validation stinks. Sometimes it auto-completes the custom tags (jstl + struts) but most of the time it doesnt

We have an enhancement filed to prompt the user before changing the default output dir, sorry you ran into this annoyance.

You can only add capabilities once, after that, the project is “capable” of those features, there is no need to re-add them.

If your taglib entries and URIs are correct, it works all the time. If your URIs are not correct, it will attempt to give you autocomplete and will sometimes succeed, othertimes it won’t. I suggest you read this FAQ entry related to taglib URIs: http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-31.html#251
