I just started using MyEclipse for my hibernate project. I woud like to know detailed error messages that hibernate is throwing, so could you please let me know where the hibernate log is located or how to configure one?

This is covered in the Hibernate documentation, it requires a custom Log4J properties file I believe and will optionally spit out a LOT of information for you. Please refer to the Hibernate site: http://www.hibernate.org
