I realize that you’ve probably answered this question a hundred times, but it looks like the Hibernate Quickstart documentation does not match with what I see when I run. Is it just me or is the Hibernate documentation out of date? If so, when can we expect the new stuff?

    Thanks for the help.

    Mission,
The basics are still there but if you want to go step-by-step you are correct, there will be a few inconsistencies. There is no ETA for the new documentation yet but management realizes this has always been an issue for our users and are planning to put some full time resources on docs soon. So at the least when it does get better, it will get a lot better.

I am interested in getting together with someone to build a new tutorial. Actually, I am not able to suss out what I need to do to get the tutorial running with what I have running. If there are any other newbees out there with the same situation, I would love to get together and work out the kinks. Two heads are better than one!

Is there any intrim documentation for the Hibernate plugin? There are lots of fields that aren’t self explanatory, and I am unable to use it to add hibernate to my project. Surely you had some working documents when you designed the plugin. Slick tutorials are nice, but reference manuals are a must!

    macinsmith,
Documentation is being planned and worked on. No ETA for it. Some of the settings you might be stummed out could be explained by way of the HIbernate documentation it self as the wizards are simply wrapping hibernate functionality. I realize this is a horrible secondary solution, but if you were absolutely stuck in the mud and needed to work through it, this may help you.
