Hi Ryan, Pretty sure the cloud services are for building and testing your app, not as a hosting solution for web apps.

Hosting is very cheap nowadays. Just buy some hosting and upload your generated www folder and link to the html file.

    Hi Rayan,

App Center will host your web application in the cloud, allowing you to easily view your web app on your device. It will be on the server for up to 50 days. There are a couple of reasons:

    1) MobiOne App Center was originally designed as a convenience for app building and short term hosting for webapp testing. For long term use we envisioned that users would host their webapp on more traditional long term hosting services or we will evolve to better support the latter.

    2) The 50 day limitation is a cost savings measure. Currently there are thousands of users testing and playing with mobione resulting in a few zillion gigabytes of cloud storage. All of this adds up to substantial costs which we do not currently pass along to the user community. We have found that most webapps/apps are not used after 50 days of inactivity. Thus we garbage collect and reuse that space to keep costs down.

    Hi Rayan,

Please be aware that App Center use is for test purposes, which means you should host your app in your own server (in case it’s an android app).

Once your app is done and compiled its best to upload it to an app store (iOS you have to), but even for Android this allows others to access it without changing their device settings to allow outside sources.

    No Problem…….

If you don’t have your own web space currently to host your web app, you can very cheaply buy a domain name and hosting as you would for a conventional web site. Godaddy or 123reg something like that………… This will give you the ability to upload your generated www folder to your web hosts server. Once the www folder is uploaded you can then give the link to your apps html page located in your www folder to your users

so for example it will be something like http://www.yourDomain.net/yourMobiApp.html

Send the link to your users and then they can use your web app on their devices. If you have selected the off line support and add to homescreen options in your M1 project the app should be available offline also. But don’t forget there are issues with web apps and IOS7 at the moment (have a search around the forum).

    Hope that helps
