Loyal WaterMemberHere is what I would like you to try :-
1. After rebooting, edit the shortcut you use to run MyEclipse, and add -clean as outlined here:
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/2. Then fire up MyEclipse and try again… did it work?
If the above steps didn’t work, I would have to say doing a clean reinstall using our All in One installer to a *brand new* directory (cannot be an existing dir) is the best bet to get up and running quickly. You should be prompted to install the Hotfix update and M4M if you wish after firing it back up.
Riyad KallaMemberIn addition to the notes Nipun has made, because of the new security model in Vista, you may be better suited to install MyEclipse to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Applications so you don’t constantly run into permission problems like this.
Robert KuropkatParticipantSorry for the slow reply. Seems (on vista) to have been a combination of both your comments. I needed to run with the -clean and run eclipse as Administrator. Once I did that, the fixes went through. I had actually tried each of those things, though on thinking on it, I realized I had tried each separately, not together. When I did that, it worked. So I need to decide if I want to re-install in my personal user directory (not really) or whether I want to run it as Administrator all the time. Presumably, I can just do the same thing whenever I need to do updates.
Anyway, thinks for the advice, it’s working now. I feel better about sending a check and will probably do so soon.

Robert I actually think (don’t have Vista handy to check) that under Program properties, and then the Compatability tab, you can set to run the program as Admin every time… that might make it easier to fire it up each time.
