I just installed myeclipse, and I’m working on an existing struts1.3 project that I previously was using in Eclipse. When I try to open the struts-config.xml it mentions how this project is not a myeclipse struts project so it will only open it in the default editor. How can I convert my existing project to a “myeclipse struts aware” project? (I’ve been searching the forums but didn’t see this addressed.) Thanks.

    rickcr,
You will have to create a new MyEclipse project, add Struts 1.3 capabilities to it and then cut paste parts from your old project to this new project.

Well this is a bit depressing or maybe there is some easy workaround… I need to make a myeclipse project from existing files that are in a directory that is under perforce control on my local machine. The eclipse project has to use this directory since other people are going to be making changes to the code as well. Are you saying there is no way to create a web project from an existing code source? If not, that becomes a HUGE limitation in the software. Are there plans to soon add that? Many times teams are using different IDEs and you have to come on and work on a project that already exists in your company’s version control setup.

Since this must be a common situation what is the recommended approach for dealing with the above situation? Thanks again.
