    Hi,

    I can not figure out or find in the docs or forum how to get snippets surrounding existing code. Is there a variable for existing code? Where to find some detailed documentation beside “HTML and JSP Web Designers Quickstart” and some presentations? Could not find anything in the MyEclipse Learning Center under Eclipse Help Contents too – 8)

    Thanks, Arno

    One can use keystroke templates: STRG+SPACE marked code and watch the # entries. Customizing under Window -> Prferences -> MyEclipse-> Files&Editors -> HTML -> HTML Templates.

    But why is the surrounded code duplicated? Feature?

    <mytag>
    markedcode
    markedcode
    </mytag>

    Thanks, Arno

    Arno,
    Can you give me an example of the snippets you are referring to? Do you mean from the snippet pallete? This is intended to drop code in, not surround code… did you mean something else?

    … no, I meant the snippet pallete. Do you know if one can disable the duplicating of marked existing code when using keystroke templates?

    Arno, I have to appologize, I’m incredibly dense this morning… could you explain in a bit more detail what you mean? (give me steps to walk through on my end to duplicate the issue?)

    Hi, I screen shotted the steps: first I setup a keystroke template …

    … then I use STRG+SPACE on my marked dummy text …

    … and then the before marked code is surrounded with the template code, but the original code remains additionally, which is definitly not necessary:

    I was able to reproduce the issue, thank you for the detailed report. I’ve filed it to be looked into.
