I feel really stupid, but I can not figure out how to do hql query.

I’ve got my database exporer up using mysql
    I’ve mapped the hibernate files
    I’m in the Hibernate perspective
I have a query parameters window open (with No HQL Query editor selected) displayed
I have a hibernate dynamic query translator window open (with No HQL Query editor selected) displayed
I have a Hibernate query result window open

Where do I put the query??

I’ve tried new, new editor, open view, etc etc. but I can not find where the query editor should be.

I’ve search the forums and found other, while having some problems, at least can do a query, but they don’t enlighten me as to how to start
I’ve reviewed all the doc that I coudl find and they show how to do the mapping etc.

    Eclipse 3.2.0
    MyEclipse 5.0 M1

    thx

Don’t feel stupid, I don’t think the HQL query editor/runner was in Milestone 1, I think it’s comming in Milestone 2.

I am having difficulty getting the editor to work properly. Everytime I try to run a query, a query which resolves correctly (no exception in the Hibernate Dynamic Query Translater window), I get nothing in the tabs at the bottom of the hibernate query result window.

Does anyone know how I can get those? I am trying to use this to test out my HQL, obviously. If not…does anyone know of another tool I can use to test out HQL for hibernate 3.x? (please don’t say JBossIDE 😉 )

    thanks,
    jason

    Jason,

Can you send more details about your hql query and mappings, please ?
Have you data in database ?
Check your error log, too (Windows-Show View-Other-PDE Runtime-Error Log View

    Best regards
