Hi, I am very concerned about how easy is to “steal” a report design. Is there a way to protect my reports designs? I mean, after deploying a we application (a WAR), how can I prevent that someone just can copy my report desings and being used in another application with minimum effort? Is there a way to encrypt that files and tell BIRT to decrypt the .rptdesing file before using it?

Please, not just tell me to look in other forums in the web, that is what this forum exits, isn’t it?

Im not aware of a way to encrypt the report files. Im not sure if such a thing exists but I’ll check with the dev team and let you know. You should cross post this query on the BIRT forums as well.
