I have MyEclipse 8.6
Is it possible to run RMI within myeclipse?
I ran my RMI example but it cam out as error “Connection refused: connect”
Do I need to have any special plugin to run RMI?

Yes it is possible to run RMI from ME. Please refer http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/firstejb/
Connection refused could be related to something else. Can you answer below queries?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. How did you install ME? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic?
3. Can you open your .log file located under [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log and copy and paste relevant issue here
