    hi,

I just installed the Subversive plug-in using Pulse. Using the SVN Repository Exploring perspective, I am trying to create a new repository and this is where I need your help please:

    I tried both of these:
    1. a local URL: file://svn/myrepository
    2. an http URL: http://cic-1.com/myrepository

Neither one appears to be valid.
Is it because I need a server installation as well?
If so, where would I get the server s/w and where are the instructions to install it?

    Ramin,

Can you give some more information to investigate further –
    1) What version of ME are you using? Can you copy and paste your installation details? You can get it from MyEclipse IDE menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2) How did you install ME? Meaning – using Pulse Explorer or Using All in one Installer or using archived update site?
    3) Can you list the plug-ins you have installed? You can get it from Help > Software Updates > Add/Remove Software > Personal Software
    4) Can you attach screenshot of how did you configure SVN?

For your information SVN plug-in is used to connect to SVN server. ME doesn’t provide an integrated support for SVN server. I would recommend you to cross-post to SVN forums as well.

So that I am clear on this:

If the plugin does not connect to a SVN server:
what does it connect to (where would the repository reside)?

If it does require a server:
(That was my original question.) Where is the URL for downloading and installing a free server version — preferably a local one for my WinXP?
