When I want to comment out an XML tag, I go to the opening < and type !– after it. The problem is that it automatically adds –> after that, which I have to delete each time since I am commenting out existing tags.

How can I turn off this auto-complete?

    Thanks,

This seems like a simple feature to add. Can this be added in the next release?

The features that would be coming in the 7.0 release have already been finalized and implemented so I can’t assure if this would come in the next release. I’ll try and push this feature for the next release.

i agree, this is VERY ANNOYING!!!

if you can’t add a feature to disable it, please disable it altogether as everyone who knows how to start a comment knows how to finish it, they don’t need help.

    pstanton,
This feature has already been filed as an enhancement. I know its frustrating at times. I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I’m afraid there is no option in 7.5 to disable this functionality.
